Mathilda's Waltz No. 4

A charming and cheerful waltz written by Choan Gálvez. This rendition is performed on a rather particular five-string ukulele known as Mathilda.

Mathilda is a flat-body soprano ukulele fitted with an additional octave string on the fourth order. She’s been travelling around Germany and Europe since 2013, visiting many ukulele players.

It arrived to Choan’s home in Barcelona in December, 2024. While doodling with the instrument, its particular sonority inspired him to write four waltzes and a polka, collected in Songs Mathilda Taught Me.
