Orballo

A piece from Choan Gálvez’s first solo ukulele album, 10 minutos, released in 2018. This rendition was recorded in 2021.

This tune was constructed over the harmonies of Fats Waller’s “Jitterbug’s Waltz”. The dripping feel evokes the persistent light rain known around Spain as orballo, orvayu, txirimiri, or calabobos.
